Whether you've got a runner in your life that you're desperate to find the perfect gift for, or you're just trying to find ways to make your winter runs more bearable (aren't we all?), I've got you covered!
Winter running can be brutal. It's cold, the wind is blowing, you're wearing so many layers but can't find that sweet spot between freezing and melting, there's ice to look out for... yet we deal with it all, because even that hell is better than the treadmill.
In preparing for my own winter training, I've compiled a list of my top 5 things that make the cold runs a little less awful.
1. Awesome knee socks.
Legs get cold in the winter, so bundle them up in an eye-catching pair of knee socks. When you look awesome, you run awesome. Can't argue science.

2. Functional ear warmer.
I hate ear warmers because my ponytail always looks a hot mess all shoved in there. I guess someone at Lululemon was having that problem, too, because now they've got THIS and it's the best thing since sliced bread! Check out that hole for your ponytail!

3. Hand held water bottle + phone holder.
I hate running with a water belt, and I hate feeling my phone bounce around in my pocket. This neat little device lets you bring your water around without carrying it like a pack mule and has a place for your phone that won't hit you in the bladder until you pee yourself! Score! Buy it here.
4. Essential oils.
I'm no network marketing salesman, but I can definitely attest to how pleasant it is to smell something other than the frigid, harsh air while running. With a drop or two of scented oil on a scarf, face mask or just under the nose, breathing in the cold becomes a lot more pleasant. Find out your runner's favorite scent and they'll be carried away on those long runs!
5. Milestone pod.
This one is my favorite. Knowing when to replace running shoes can be hard. They say you should get a new pair every 300-500 miles, but it's hard to know exactly when you hit that milestone! With this little guy attached to your shoe, you'll never be left wondering. It also tracks your cadence, stride length and foot strike - all necessary things to improve your performance. This is the gift you never knew you needed! Buy it here.
